We ventured out earlier in the week and ran a few errands. Lest you think I’m some superwoman, let me confess up front that “venturing out” to me in the first several days (weeks?) post-partum involves getting into the van and mostly just sitting there for a change of scenery while Steady Eddie chauffers us around and does the actual running-of-errands. Anyway, our first stop was the post office, since I was anticipating the arrival of a PaperbackSwap book. Steady Eddie returned from inside the post office with not one, but two packages.
Yes, one of my bloggy buddies did it again! This time it was Stephanie, and she blessed us with all the goodies you see above. I was particularly thrilled to find Mike Mulligan and His Steam Shovel in the box of goodies since this is a book I passed on during a book-finding excursion at TJ Maxx several months ago and I had regretted not buying it ever since. Stephanie is expecting her own little blue bundle of joy come this fall, and I look forward to comparing notes with her since up ’til now we’ve both been the mothers of only girls.
Thank you so much, Stephanie!

You are welcome! : )
Those are ADORABLE! =D I love the little monkey. And I hear you on sitting in the car just for the change in scenery. =)
I’m SO GLAD that you have both gained a little boy! Now I’d like to gain a little girl and we’ll call it even.
