If you haven’t already spent your Cybils nominations on your own favorite titles and are just looking for a way to be involved, may I suggest a few titles that we’ve enjoyed here at the House of Hope that have not yet been nominated?
Links are to my reviews.
Nonfiction Picture Books:
Fiction Picture Books:
- Mossy by Jan Brett
- Toads on Toast by Linda Bailey
- Petunia Goes Wild by Paul Schmid
- Ballywhinney Girl by Eve Bunting
Obviously, not all books are created equal, but I can say with all honesty that we enjoyed each and every one of these, and I would not be one bit surprised to see any one of these titles as a Cybils nominee. So, what are you waiting for? Go forth and nominate!

I can’t believe I haven’t read any of these! We really want the new Petunia book and I love Canadian authors so Toads on Toast is high on my wishlist too!

I am trying desperately to decide which of my two faves I’m going to nominate. Oh wait — one already has a nom., so that decides it — yay!
